Are these trust documents legally valid?
Yes. Every trust document is drafted to comply with applicable state and federal law. They are attorney-review ready and include all required clauses, execution pages, and notary blocks. We recommend having a licensed attorney review any trust before execution — but our documents are built on templates reviewed by estate planning attorneys across multiple jurisdictions.
What is ChainLock™ blockchain anchoring?
ChainLock™ is our proprietary protocol that creates a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your executed trust document and records it permanently on a public blockchain (Ethereum, Polygon, or Solana). This creates an immutable, independently verifiable record that proves: (1) the document existed on a specific date, (2) it has not been altered since, and (3) who executed it. It does not expose the contents of your trust — only the fingerprint.
What's the difference between a Revocable and Irrevocable trust?
A Revocable Living Trust (RLT) can be modified or revoked by you at any time during your lifetime — you retain full control. An Irrevocable Trust cannot be changed once executed (with rare exceptions). Irrevocable trusts offer stronger asset protection and tax benefits because the assets are no longer considered part of your estate. Our platform supports both, and our questionnaire helps you determine which is right for your situation.
What is a Smart Contract Trust and how is it different?
A Smart Contract Trust is a traditional trust instrument enhanced with programmable, self-executing logic. While a standard trust relies on a human trustee to interpret and execute distribution instructions, a Smart Contract Trust can automatically trigger distributions when cryptographically verifiable conditions are met (e.g., beneficiary reaches a certain age, an asset hits a price target, a court order is published). It is wrapped in a legally valid trust shell and anchored to the blockchain via ChainLock™.
Can I edit my trust documents after purchase?
Absolutely. All plans include unlimited revisions. You can return to your dashboard at any time, modify terms, update beneficiaries, change trustees, or adjust distribution schedules — then regenerate and re-execute. For irrevocable trusts, modifications may require a new trust instrument; our platform guides you through that process.
How do I execute the trust after generating it?
After you finalize your document, our platform guides you through execution: (1) print or digitally sign with integrated e-signature, (2) have it notarized (required in most states), (3) if applicable, fund the trust by re-titling assets. For Smart Contract Trusts, ChainLock™ anchoring is triggered at execution. We provide state-specific execution instructions with every document.
Is my data secure and private?
Security is foundational to everything we build. All trust data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We do not store raw trust documents on our servers after you download them. For Smart Contract Trusts with ChainLock™, only cryptographic hashes are stored on-chain — never your personal information or trust contents. We are SOC 2 Type II compliant.
